Argus Freight LLC (doing business as Argus Business Group™) was originally established as a trucking company in 2017. Prior to its business reorganization, it operated through three segments: Leasing, Services and Investments.

The Leasing segment specialized in Class 8 tractors with a GVWR exceeding 33,000 lb. (commonly known as “18-wheelers”) and trucking trailers (e.g., Flatbed, Step Deck, Conestoga, Dry Van semi-trailers). More specifically, in exchange for a percentage of the Lessee’s gross load bookings, we sold annual lease contracts on our trucks and trailers. Our typical clients were small trucking firms involved in one-way truckload and dedicated freight motor carrier services.

The Services segment provided fleet management, fuel card and toll road payment services to our clients. Clients, in return, were responsible for contracting their own drivers, obtaining insurance, registrations and invoicing their customers via factoring, known as accounts receivable financing.

The Investments segment was launched in 2018 to make concentrated, strategic and tactical investments in publicly traded and privately held businesses. As our company grew, we reinvested our capital in other transportation companies (railroads, container ships, bulk carriers). We acquired shares in largest owners of critical real estate and infrastructure networks, facilitating the movement and storage of major commodities (oil, natural gas, iron ore, copper and gold).

By 2022, our global investment and financing activities outpaced our legacy operations in the trucking industry. Nevertheless, to honor our humble beginnings, we decided to maintain our original name and continue to operate as Argus Freight LLC.

In 2023, Argus Business Group™, began reporting its revenue in four segments (investment portfolios):

  • Materials, Industrials and Transportation;
  • Energy and Utilities;
  • Technology and Telecommunications;
  • Commercial and Residential Real Estate.
